HR
Human resources is an important function that overlaps with payroll in many ways that includes maintaining employee records. We will work with your human resources or management to ensure employee records are correct, and that the process is as made as simple as possible. Through your dedicated point-of-contact, you can inform us of any change request over email or using an online option, and see payroll records reflected for all payroll payments and reporting.
From a record-keeping or systems perspective, we can ensure accurate and timely updates of employee records between payroll and HR through instructions delivered by email, or by interfacing a file from any HR system for synchronization. For smaller companies that do not have an HR system, we can provide base level HR reporting from our payroll system that can add value.
Benefit Administration
Offering different benefits to your employees, such as dental or vision insurance, may be part of your business or nonprofit. We work with your third party administrator (TPA) and ensure success to your organization by independently tracking and reflecting benefits in payroll reporting to government and employees. Where we see questions in any TPA benefit calculation, with your permission we will discuss them with your TPA and help resolve them for you in order to ensure an additional level of accuracy and oversight.
At your request, VPM will additionally recommend to you a shortlist of TPAs that you can periodically evaluate for fit and alignment with your organization.
